About The County Service Area (CSA) #4 Road Committee
The Road Committee as defined by Calaveras County Resolution No. 94-365:
Whereas, County Service Areas have been established to provide construction and maintenance of certain roads within the unincorporated territory; and

How one becomes a Road Committee member:
Volunteers are chosen by our district supervisor to serve without salary or any form of compensation. To volunteer, either request a form from County offices or download
the form from our website. It will then be up to our Supervisor whether the appointment to the committee will be made and for what length of term.
What to expect:
The present Road Committee stays in contact with members generally through email in order to obtain the feedback of as much of the community as possible. Committee members are contacted by residents and property owners by phone, email, and mail. Community meetings are held on an as needed basis in order to make decisions concerning the expenditure of funds by the county.
The committee also meets in San Andreas with Public Works and in Copperopolis with our supervisor. Weekly phone conversations with Public Works assures projects get the highest amount of regard and keeps the Road Committee informed of the budget, scheduled work, etc.
The present Road Committee consists of…
1. Former internal auditor for the Clorox Co., retired IBM executive of more than 33 years.
2. Grounds Supervisor at Las Positas College in Livermore for over 26 years, responsible for asphalt parking lots, asphalt roads and streets, drainage, weeds, signage, etc. Owner of multiple lots in the Diamond XX since 1982.
3. Self-employed former consultant to Scotts, Ortho, Monsanto, and other lawn & garden companies.
4. Director of Quality Control for Sutter Hospital
…And we need one more to complete a committee of 5.
