New Neighbor Has Some Questions…

Hello faithful DiamondXX.info readers. A new neighbor posted the comment below, but I thought it might be worth putting this on the front page to get some discussion going. You can view and add comments by clicking the comments link above.

Hi!
I’m not sure if I’m in the right place, so feel free to redirect me if necessary. We are brand new residents of Diamond XX, after buying 2868 Singletree Dr. I have questions…..lots of questions. Is there an HOA, what do you do about tresspassers, road repairs, and the such.
Having said all that, I want to tell you how thrilled my husband, Dave, and I are to be living up here in God’s Country!

Some quick answers:
– There is no HOA, but there is a Road Committee. You can look through the Documents section of this website to get past meeting notes, etc. The road committee can be contacted at roadcommittee@diamondxx.info (or by clicking the link to the right). The budget for road repair is limited and shared across the 28 miles of roads in the development. You can come to the periodic road committee meetings to get updates and share your thoughts. Road committee meetings are always announced here (you can sign up for email updates whenever a new article is posted through the Announcement List at the right), and with signs at all of the entrances to the development.
– Generally, “good fences make good neighbors” and good fences with lots of signs should deter trespassers.

Thank you Jim. I brought up the trespassing issue only after we had found the remnants of two bonfires, after exploring our new property. We were just wondering if anyone had an effective way to deter this. We will certainly invest in signs.

You’ve probably driven by our place lots of times. We live at 3898 Stagecoach Rd. Both my husband, Bob, & I are on the Road Committee and would be happy to answer all your questions.
Note to Jim: There are 18 miles of roads in Diamond XX. Don’t know if I could handle the responsibility for 10 more miles!

Hi Jeane and Bob. I think you are the last property we pass before we turn up Singletree. Looking foward to meeting you. We will be up there full-time starting the first of July. I will make it a point to attend the next meeting. Really, 18 miles of road in Diamond XX? We have some exploring to do!
