Want to sign the anti-pot growing petition?
2016 May 25
The petition to ban commercial marijuana growing with an exemption of patients and care givers will be available for people to sign at these times:
- Thursday, May 26th, from 9 AM to 11 AM and 4PM to 6PM, at Black Creek Park
- Friday, May 27th, from 9AM to 5PM, at the Armory in Copperopolis.
I think this is the same petition that is described in this article.

Regarding Bar XX marijuana grows…as the emergency ordinance which passed has a cut off date of May 10, 2016 for established grow sites and prohibits construction of any new sites, I thought it would be a good idea to document what’s out there in our neighborhood in case anybody tries to sneak in “under the radar”. I did a lengthy fly-over on May 12th and photographed most of the pot farms on Appaloosa, Paint, Hunter, etc. It’s pretty shocking with well over a dozen grows, most around 50-75 plants but one at around 250. I’m happy to share the photos I have with any interested parties. Additionally, I’ll offer to take any concerned neighbors up to survey the area.
Best regard, Eric.

We have school kids getting off the school bus and haviing to walk home pass this Junk.
Also it brings the wrong kind of people to our area!
Absolutely agree! I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old and they’re always asking what theat “smell” is. Hard to explain to them. We definitely need it out. Especially when they now have a ton of cars patrolling that are now.
